Nigerian social media personality Bobrisky has expressed relief after receiving the results of a recent kidney function test, revealing that his estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) stood at 85.
The influencer shared the update on his Instagram Story, saying he was excited by the result and joking that his kidney was still “loving” him.
“When I heard the result of my eGFR, my kidney function, I was so happy! My eGFR was 85, so I guess my kidney loves me so much,” he wrote.
Bobrisky also referenced the cosmetic procedures he has undergone over the years, expressing surprise that his kidney function remained satisfactory despite the surgeries.
“After all the times I’ve gone under the knife to look this beautiful, my kidney is still working perfectly! ” he added.

Beyond the humour, however, Bobrisky used the opportunity to encourage his followers to take their health seriously and undergo regular medical checks.
He noted that some people may not know their kidney function status and urged them to find out, particularly highlighting eGFR readings below 60 as a potential cause for concern.
“Some of you don’t even know your eGFR or your kidney function status. Some people’s eGFR is already below 60, and they don’t even know it,” he said.
He concluded with a direct appeal to his followers: “That’s why regular check-ups are so important. Please, go and check yourself!
