Popular Nigerian superstar Davido revealed that his wife, Chioma, is the person in charge of his spending, admitting that his reckless spending habits made the position of having her as his financial manager necessary.
This information was revealed in a video clip that started circulating online on Wednesday, which showed the singer struggling with bad network service while attempting to send money to his personal assistant, Lati. Unable to log into his banking application, the musician placed a direct call to his wife Chioma to handle the transaction for him.
“Hello, baby, good morning my wife, my love. Help me send Lati $4,000. I can’t get access to my app I don’t know why, its the service here. Alright. We’re about taking off now to Naija, I love you,” Davido said during the phone call.
When his official streamer, Davreltv, questioned the singer on whether his wife was the one running his financial affairs, Davido confirmed the it without hesitation, stating that he personally has the tendency to spend money too quickly.
“So your wife has been managing the money?” the streamer asked. “Of course, you know I’m a reckless spender. Na she dey arrange everything. Na my life coordinator be that,” Davido replied. Netizens as always, have differing opinions with some supporting and lauding him for being in financial unity with is wife, while other believe he should be in total control of his funds.
