Galatasaray makes assurance to Osimhen over transfer amid links to Europe’s giants. The Super Eagles star has been a prolific goalscorer for the Turkish side.
The Turkish giants are reportedly fighting to keep Victor Osimhen. Galatasaray have begun assurances that Victor Osimhen will still be an important figure in Istanbul, after assuring him that the team will improve.
Osimhen, 27, is still one of Europe’s most in-demand strikers after another prolific campaign for the Turkish Super Lig side.
Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United are just some of the clubs believed to have taken an interest in his goalscoring capabilities after another stellar season where he managed to hit 30 goals in 33 appearances.
He helped Galatasaray to domestic success and was instrumental in their triumph, though his performances have inevitably put him on the transfer market, with his future one of the talking points this summer.
However, Turkish football expert Levent Tzemen has said that the club has attempted to put off any interested clubs by telling their star player that he should stay.
Speaking on Libero TV’s YouTube channel, he claimed: “Victor Osimhen received a promise from the Galatasaray management that, ‘We will be a better team next season.” He went on to add: “We made some effort, especially through messages, to convey the message that Victor is a special player for us.”
Osimhen has three years left on his deal at Galatasaray after joining permanently last summer for a record €75million deal, and they would be unwilling to let him depart the club this summer.
Galatasaray, however, do still seem confident that they can keep him, with their president previously speaking about keeping their star striker.
The president said that Galatasaray are aiming to sign some new players and that will show the ambitions of the team.
