Rivers United are getting ready for the season. They started training on Monday at the Garden City Sports Centre, Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium. Finidi George, the Technical Manager wants the team to win three trophies.

Finidi George said that the team needs to be fit and work together. He also wants the new players to get used to the team. Finidi George thinks that if they start well they can do well in the season.
The General Manager, Chief Dr. Okey Kpalukwu told the players to be disciplined and work hard. He wants them to be ready for the season. Rivers United did not win the league title season so they want to do better this time.
Something big happened at Rivers Angels, the womens football team. The Rivers State Government removed the management and staff because they did not do well. The team had a season and did not win any big trophies.
Rivers Angels used to be a good team they won seven NWFL titles and 10 President Federation Cup trophies. Finidi George and Rivers United are focused on winning trophies they want to make this season a successful one, for Rivers United.
