Galatasaray has recently turned down a €125 million offer for Victor Osimhen showing they want to keep the Super Eagles striker, as they intend to hold onto him despite many European clubs interested.
The Turkish champions quickly rejected the bid as reported by Forza Cimbom, before now, they had already said no to a €120 million offer from Atletico Madrid
On the other hand, the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid still want to sign Osimhen, but Galatasaray has officially said that they will not consider any offer below their asking price. The club thinks Osimhen is worth much because of his great performance since joining Galatasaray.
Performance statistics claimed that Osimhen has scored 59 goals in 74 games for Galatasaray. This season he has 15 league goals and five assists in 22 matches, he also scored seven goals, three assists in 10 UEFA Champions League games.
The report also has it that Galatasaray has Mauro Icardi, whose contract ends in June, on that note— if they lose both players they will have few forward left, and they intend to keep their lineup in the Turkish Süper Lig and do better in Europe next season.
There are reports that Galatasaray will offer Osimhen the captain’s armband and the No. 9 Jersey, which is part of their plan to make him feel more connected to the club’s future. Victor Osimhen is key, to Galatasaray’s plans, they want to keep him, because he can help them win games.
Club officials are said to believe that such gestures of leadership and identity may not be immediately available to Osimhen at clubs like United, Arsenal or Chelsea, where established dressing-room hierarchies already exist.
Osimhen himself has repeatedly spoken warmly of his time in Istanbul and expressed a desire to remain at the club, though the sustained interest from some of European football’s heaviest spenders ensures his future will remain a subject of speculation for the duration of the window.
