In a bid to enhance security and regulate commercial motorcycle operations, the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, has approved the immediate profiling of all motorcycle riders in the local government area.
The directive, which was contained in a statement issued by the Office of Media and Communications, Bonny Local Government Council, stated that the exercise, aimed at creating a comprehensive database of operators, is expected to strengthen security, promote accountability, and ensure effective regulation of motorcycle business across Bonny Kingdom.
According to the council chairman, the profiling is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Government Lodge, Wing B, commencing at 10:00 a.m.

The statement directed all commercial motorcycle operators to attend with their National Identification Number (NIN) slip and other necessary documents for the verification exercise.
The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area warned that only duly profiled operators will be allowed to continue operating within the area after the exercise.
According to the statement, the council also approved the free distribution of safety jackets and protective helmets to all registered Okada operators.
The Statement stressed that the entire profiling exercise is completely free of charge and motorcycle operators should report any individual or group demanding money for the process to the Office of the Chairman immediately.
It added that the exercise will be coordinated by the Chief Security Officer of the LGA, Warisenibo Prince Christy-Wilcox, and the Special Adviser on Security Matters, Kalapapa Pollyn, in collaboration with relevant security agencies.
