Rivers United NPFL title rival Enugu Rangers International FC got sumptuous rewards from the State Governor, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for winning the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
The announcement for the reward was made by the governor.
According to the report, the governor gave a total of ₦150 million, the players will share ₦100 million while the management team will get ₦50 million this is for their work in making the team a success.
That’s not all, the governor also gave landed properties to all players and management staff, each person will get a Certificate of Occupancy.
Governor Mbah said his government will improve sports and the likes of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium will get upgrades for Rangers to play well in the CAF Champions League. The stadium will also host the Coal City Games 2026.
The Enugu Rangers International FC or the Flying Antelopes had a season where they won the NPFL title and now they will be participating in the CAF Champions League.
Fans and football management are happy with the governor’s announcement, because it’s a great uplifting that’ll help sports and football, in Enugu State.
Enugu Rangers international win makes them one of nest Nigeria’s football clubs and it also added to Enugu States football history. Now Rangers will play against African clubs as they will make Enugu State known in Africa.
