His Majesty Ny’údū of Upata Kingdom, Dr. Felix Enene Otuwarikpo, has congratulated Cordelia Eke on her appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Rivers State Civil Service.
The monarch praised Eke’s leadership and service, noting her contributions as Chairman of the Port Harcourt branch of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA). He described her tenure as marked by dedication, institutional growth, and a commitment to strengthening both the legal profession and public service in the state.
Otuwarikpo made the remarks during a visit to Eke’s office, where he led a delegation of the Úpātá Traditional Council in a show of solidarity.
He emphasized the critical role of the legal profession in sustaining democracy, justice, and the rule of law in Nigeria, adding that Eke has demonstrated excellence and purposeful leadership in advancing these ideals.

According to the monarch, the NBA Port Harcourt branch has witnessed significant progress under Eke’s leadership, including improved institutional stability and increased recognition within and beyond Rivers State.

Otuwarikpo also called for stronger collaboration between the NBA and the Úpātá Traditional Council and offered prayers for her continued success.
In her response, Eke expressed appreciation to the monarch and his delegation for the visit, describing it as the first of its kind to the branch.
She assured the traditional ruler of her commitment to collaboration, particularly in promoting the protection of the girl child, and reaffirmed the legal profession’s role as the last hope of the common people.
