NCDMB, NAPTIN Complete Solar PV Training for Youths

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) successfully concluded Stream 3 of their Solar Photovoltaic Installation and Maintenance Training Programme in Port Harcourt, Rubers state.

The close-out ceremony brought together officials and participants to celebrate the end of the latest phase of the initiative. Director General of NAPTIN, Ahmed B. Nagode, praised NCDMB for its strong support for youth development.

He noted that the programme has trained more than 300 young Nigerians so far.

Ahmed Nagode encouraged the fresh graduates to use their new skills for positive contributions to society.

Khadija Jekhine, who represented NCDMB at the event, expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the training. She highlighted the discipline and dedication shown by the trainees throughout the programme.
Officials from NAPTIN delivered goodwill messages during the ceremony.

Trainees also shared words of appreciation for the opportunity.

At the end of the event, organisers presented certificates to all participants who completed the training successfully.

The partnership between NCDMB and NAPTIN continues to build local capacity in renewable energy.

The Solar Photovoltaic programme equips young Nigerians with practical skills in installation and maintenance of solar systems.

This helps address energy challenges and creates employment opportunities in the growing green energy sector.

Participants gained hands-on experience in solar technology. Many expressed readiness to apply the knowledge in their communities. The initiative forms part of broader efforts to promote skills development and local content in Nigeria’s power sector.
