Renowned peace and development advocate, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, PhD, has formally entered the race for the House of Representatives seat representing Warri Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections after obtaining the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mulade, a respected environmental rights campaigner from Delta State, expressed optimism about his chances in the 2027 elections.
Speaking after picking the form, he described the moment as significant and dedicated his ambition to God and humanity.
“I am very happy today for making this possible and I dedicate the form to God Almighty and humanity,” he said.
The activist also appreciated the national leadership of the NDC and former Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for what he called the opportunity to serve both Nigerians and the people of Warri Federal Constituency.
Mulade said his decision to contest was motivated by the need to deepen peace, unity, development and inclusive representation across the constituency.
According to him, his leadership style would promote fairness and cooperation among all ethnic groups in the area without bias or division.
“I am the right man for the job at the moment. I represent peace, unity, development and inclusive people representation devoid of ethnic sentiment and segregation,” he stated.
He further pledged to strengthen peaceful coexistence among the major ethnic nationalities in Warri Federal Constituency, including the Itsekiri, Ijaw and Urhobo communities, while promising to pursue people-oriented representation if elected.
