NNPC Raises Crude Price by $7 Amid US-Iran Conflict

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company has raised the price of oil by seven dollars.

This is because of the conflict between the United States and Iran. The whole world is feeling the effects of this conflict on the oil market.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company has changed the prices of its oil. This change is for the oil that will be loaded in May.

The company has increased the prices of all thirty seven types of oil in Nigeria. The price of Bonny Light oil has gone up by six dollars and thirteen cents per barrel. .

The price of Forcados oil has also gone up by roughly seven dollars and one cent per barrel. This is happening because crude oil prices are going up over the world.

People think that the conflict between the United States and Iran will disrupt the supply of oil.

This will cause the prices of oil to go up even more. The price of Bonny Light oil is now one hundred and twenty four dollars and eighty six cents per barrel. The price of Brent oil is now over one hundred and ten dollars per barrel.

Some people think that Nigeria will benefit from the increase in crude oil prices. The country will get money from exporting oil. However there are also some risks. Higher crude oil prices can lead to costs for oil refineries like the Dangote Petroleum Refinery. This can cause fuel prices to go up.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company and crude oil prices are closely linked. When crude oil prices go up it can lead to fuel costs. This can cause inflation and higher transport costs. It can be especially hard for families. Professor Adeola Adenikinju says that the current situation is like a edged sword. The government may get money but ordinary people may suffer.

Professor Adeola Adenikinju thinks that the government should help the people who are most affected. However he says that it is hard to do this because Nigeria does not have a system to identify the people who need help. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company and the government need to work to solve this problem. The crude oil prices and the conflict between the United States and Iran are making things difficult, for everyone.
