‎Agali Demands Accountability Over Alleged Unpaid FIFA Funds

Former Super Eagles player Victor Agali has raised serious concerns about the alleged mismanagement of funds meant for ex-international players.

He says the money that comes from FIFA, meant for ex-players has not been given to many of them.

‎Agali alleges unpaid funds for ex-internationals. He says many ex-players have not received funds.

In an interview that he has not received any money, and he also knows some players who also have not received any. “Do you know there’s money coming from FIFA to Nigeria for ex-players?” Agali asked.

‎When asked if he had gotten any money he said: “I personally have not received and I know some numbers too that have not been receiving and I know that money is coming in.”

‎This is a problem than just one person because it affects every former Super Eagles international, and it really raises concerns about how Nigerian football runs.

‎As a player Agali’s words carry weight, having played for the Super Eagles of Nigeria from 2000 to 2004, he earned 12 caps. Scored five goals. Agali played a role in the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where he scored goals against Sudan and Ghana.

‎Since retiring Agali has become a coach, he works with players. His recent allegations will likely lead to scrutiny of how funds for ex-players are managed. The issue is about accountability in football. Agali’s experience and involvement, in the game make his allegations significant.
