The race for the champion of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season will commence from May 1 to May 8 2026, as the draws are held today at Marriott Hotel in Lagos.
The Nigeria National League (NNL) clubs that will compete in this year’s Super 4 are Doma United, Inter Lagos, Sporting Lagos and Rancher Bees.
These Nigeria National League clubs (NNL) got their spots in the Super 4 playoffs because they finished at the top of their groups. This means they automatically get to move up to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
In the group A and B Southern Conferences Inter Lagos played well, they won eight games tied five games and lost three games. From a clear statistics, this gave them a total of 29 points. On the hand Sporting Lagos FC won six games tied three games and lost four games. This was enough for them to finish at the top of their group with 36 points.
In the group C and D Northern Conferences Doma United did a job. They won seven games tied two games and lost four games. This gave them 26 points. Rancher Bees also played well winning six games tying two games and losing four games. This was enough for them to finish at the top of their group with 20 points.
This is a deal because for the first time all four clubs that got promoted are owned by private people, this shows where Nigerian club football is going.
Ahead of the draw, the likes of the Director General of the National Sports Commission Bukola Olopade and the President of the Nigeria Football Federation Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau will lead the group of sports administrators to the draws.
Some other famous people are also expected to be. These include Super Eagles players, like Victor Ikpeba, who is also known as the ‘Prince of Monaco’. Some other big names from the football world will also be at the event to make it a special day, for the Nigeria National League.
