Hope has risen over the synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government in the Asari Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
There is believe that the unity between the leaderships would drive development, ensure Progress and the delivery of good governance to the people.
This is following a strategic meeting initiated by the Asari Toru Local Government Chairman, Hon George Onengiyeofori with the members of the 8th legislative assembly.
The meeting held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, was aimed at strengthening development agenda, collaborating for sustainable growth, as well as to boosts governance.
Onengiyeofori while addressing the members led by the leader of the house, Rt. Hon. Ibirifi Clinton George, reaffirmed his commitment to unity, development and progress of the LGA.
The LG boss revealed that the synergy would spurs development, even as he tasked the leaders on transparency.
According to Onengiyeofori, “when the executive and legislative arms of government work in synergy, progress and sustainable development become inevitable.
“This meeting underscores the importance of collaboration between the executive and legislative arms in advancing policies, strengthening governance, and delivering meaningful development to the people of Asari Toru Local Government Area.”
The discussions focused on fostering unity, promoting transparency, and ensuring that legislative support aligns with the developmental vision of the administration.
The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of both arms of government to work harmoniously in the interest of peace, progress, and sustainable development across all communities in Asari Toru Local Government Area.
