The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) has opened applications for its 2026 Post‑Primary Scholarship Scheme, offering bright Basic Six pupils from host communities in Rivers State the chance to continue their education with full support.
In a statement released on Monday, April 20, through its official X account, NLNG explained that the programme is part of its social investment in education and is designed to help outstanding pupils move seamlessly into secondary school. Applications close on May 11, 2026, via nlngscholarships.smapply.io/prog/PPSS.
To qualify, pupils must be indigenous members of NLNG host communities in Rivers State, enrolled in Basic Six at a public primary school, and not older than 12. They must not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship or bursary, while children or relatives of NLNG staff are excluded.
By July 2026, successful candidates are expected to secure provisional admission into one of three partner schools in Port Harcourt, Hallel College in Rukpokwu, ABEC Secondary School in Woji, or Christie Toby Education Centre in Iriebe.

Applicants must also provide supporting documents, including results from Basic 4 and 5 plus first‑term Basic 6, an attestation letter signed by their head teacher, an indigene confirmation letter from their community leader, a local government identification letter, a recent passport photograph, and a birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission.
LNLNG emphasised inclusivity, assuring that children with disabilities can request reasonable adjustments. After submitting their application, such candidates should email “Reasonable Adjustment” to [email protected]. “This scheme gives children in our host communities a chance to learn, grow, and achieve more,” NLNG stated, urging parents to take advantage of the opportunity.
