‎Osimhen spark interest from Barcelona with €100M deal on the table‎‎

According to a recent report from the Spanish outlet Fichajes, it has come to light that Barcelona is interested in Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen.

The current La Liga champions are eager to enhance their attacking lineup by acquiring a striker ahead of the 2026/27 season, and they are prepared to invest €100 million to obtain his services.

‎The report indicates that Lamine Yamal has been advocating for the Lagos native’s transfer to Spotify Camp Nou in the forthcoming transfer window.

Although Barcelona’s financial challenges may pose difficulties, they are determined to make every effort to secure Osimhen’s services in the upcoming months.

‎Since joining Galatasaray from Napoli, Victor Osimhen has been outstanding.

The 27-year-old transferred to Turkiye in September 2024 following some internal conflicts at the Serie A club.

Cimbom initially acquired the player on loan before finalizing a permanent transfer last summer.

‎The Nigerian international had an impressive debut season and has continued to perform well in the 2025/26 campaign, netting 19 goals and providing seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

Given these statistics, it is not surprising that Osimhen is a target for numerous prestigious clubs, with Barcelona among the potential suitors competing for his signature this year.

‎Victor Osimhen has been on Barcelona’s radar for an extended period.

The ongoing interest is logical, as Robert Lewandowski’s future at the club is uncertain, having entered the final six months of his contract.

Furthermore, the veteran Polish striker is nearing the end of his career. Therefore, Barcelona must start planning for life after him.

‎While Ferran Torres has been effective this season, his inconsistency has not warranted his position as Barcelona’s first-choice striker.

Additionally, recent reports have suggested that the Spanish international may be considering a move away from the Catalan club.

Consequently, Barcelona needs to explore the market for a striker, with Osimhen emerging as a promising target.

‎With Lamine Yamal supporting Osimhen and drawing parallels to Samuel Eto’o, he could be an ideal fit for Barcelona.

The 27-year-old Nigerian forward’s effectiveness positions him as a direct substitute for Lewandowski, and he possesses the potential to justify an investment of €100 million if the Blaugrana can secure the necessary funds for a significant transaction.
