JAMB Opens 2026 Direct Entry Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has started selling application forms for its 2026 Direct Entry programme.

In a notice shared on its official social media platform, the board announced that registration began on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will run until Saturday, April 25, 2026.

JAMB made it clear that candidates can only obtain their e-PINs and complete the registration process at its approved state and zonal offices nationwide. It stressed that no other centres are authorised to handle the application.

The Direct Entry scheme gives qualified candidates — including holders of National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), A-level certificates, and other recognised equivalents — the opportunity to gain admission straight into 200 level in universities without sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The new registration exercise comes shortly after the board concluded the 2026 UTME registration, which ended on February 28.
