Tinubu Meets Wike, Fubara, Rivers Leaders in Aso Villa

In an effort to reduce the ongoing political tensions in Rivers State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu convened a late-night consultative meeting with key stakeholders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The closed-door meeting included the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, alongside Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

The President’s high-level intervention comes in response to escalating friction between the Governor and his predecessor, which poses a threat to the stability of the political environment in Rivers State.

Many prominent leaders from Rivers State also participated in the discussions, indicating a unified attempt to reach a lasting resolution to the situation.
