The Wife of the Executive Chairman of Omuma Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Linda C. Obasi, will on Saturday, October 11, 2025, host a special event in celebration of Omuma Girls as part of activities marking the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child.
The event, which will be held at the Council Conference Hall, Eberi Omuma, from 9:00 a.m., is themed “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis.” It aims to inspire, empower, and recognize the resilience and leadership potential of young girls in Omuma and beyond.
According to the organisers, the programme will feature interactive sessions, motivational talks, and activities focused on promoting education, gender equality, and leadership development among girls. Participants are expected to be seated before the start of the event.

Speaking on the significance of the celebration, Mrs. Obasi noted that empowering girls is key to building stronger and more inclusive communities.
