Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has made an impassioned appeal to his players to maintain their focus and discipline as Nigeria gears up to face Lesotho in their second-to-last 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in Polokwane, South Africa.
In anticipation of this pivotal match, Chelle highlighted the unpredictable nature of the group standings, stressing that his team cannot afford any mistakes. With only a few matches remaining to determine who progresses, he urged his players to concentrate exclusively on the objective at hand, securing all three points.
“Anything can still happen in this group,” Chelle remarked. “We must remain focused, approach each game individually, and treat every match as if it were a final. The objective is clear; we require all three points.”
The Super Eagles are currently engaged in a fierce contest in Group C, where every team still retains a mathematical possibility of qualification.
