‎NFF, Moses Aduku motivates Nigeria U-17 to win in Morocco’s

The head coach of Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, Moses Aduku, has urged the U-17 team, known as the Flamingos, to maintain their focus and unity as they prepare for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

‎Aduku visited the team’s training camp in Abuja on Monday to share an encouraging message with the players, motivating them to compete with confidence and discipline as they strive to make history for Nigeria on the international stage.

‎The Falconets coach emphasized to the young athletes that their performance at the World Cup would not only influence their personal careers but also showcase the advancement of women’s football in Nigeria. He highlighted the significance of teamwork and mental resilience in major competitions.

‎“You have put in a lot of effort to reach this stage, now go out there and make yourselves and Nigeria proud,” Aduku stated.

‎“Compete with confidence, discipline, and the same drive that has brought you this far.”

‎He also praised the technical staff, led by Bankole Olowookere, for the team’s commendable preparation.

‎The Flamingos have achieved victory in all ten of their preparatory matches, netting 44 goals without allowing any against them. Aduku commended the players’ resolve and regarded their flawless record as an indication of their preparedness for the upcoming challenge.

‎In a related matter, Ameenu Mohammed, the Nigeria Football Federation Referee Assessor and Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary, visited the team to conduct a special session on the laws of the game.

‎He emphasized the importance of combining skill with knowledge and discipline, pointing out that a solid understanding of the rules could be crucial in closely contested matches.

‎His session concentrated on recent updates in international football regulations and how being informed could help avoid costly errors during high-pressure situations.

‎The Flamingos are set to leave Nigeria on Wednesday (today) via Royal Air Maroc for Morocco, where they will represent the nation in the competition.

‎They have been placed in Group D and will open their World Cup campaign against Canada on October 19.
