According to a recent report, it has been stated that the Gunners have been presented with the chance to acquire Nigerian international striker Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.
Arsenal is actively searching for an additional forward as the transfer market approaches its conclusion, and Lookman has emerged as a potential wildcard option.
As reported by Nicolo Schira, intermediaries have contacted the Gunners regarding the possibility of a transfer, serving as an alternative to Eberechi Eze.
Various reports have elaborated on the Gunners’ interest in the Crystal Palace forward, who remains a top priority for Arteta’s team.
Lookman, a London native raised in Peckham, is reportedly available for approximately €50m from Atalanta. The player has prioritized a move to Inter, having reached an agreement on personal terms with the Milan club. However, no deal has been finalized between the Serie A giants, as the transfer fee has become a significant obstacle.
Currently, the 27-year-old is taking control of the situation, joining a growing list of players who have gone AWOL from training.

Arsenal may pursue the Nigerian star, but it is improbable that he will be utilized as a centre-forward, a position currently held by marquee summer signing Viktor Gyokeres.
Lookman can play on the wing and could take over from Gabriel Martinelli, but he was also deployed as a shadow striker at Atalanta last season, making him a direct alternative to Eze as a result.
Lookman possesses considerable quality. In the previous season, he netted 15 goals and provided five assists in 31 Serie A appearances, while also being recognized as the statistically best attacker in the league by SciSports, showcasing exceptional offensive statistics throughout the season
