BBNaija Star Sammie Accused of N4.45 Million Scam

The controversy began when Emmanuel Idakoh, also known as Young Barby, shared his story in a viral video filmed by popular videographer Lucky Udu. Idakoh claimed Sammie took the money in exchange for a promised audition slot, but later cut off communication after the official audition list was released without his name.

In the emotional video, Idakoh detailed how Sammie allegedly convinced him to make multiple payments, including pressuring him to take a high-interest loan.

“Hi everyone, my name is Emmanuel Idakoh, also known as Young Barby. I was scammed ₦4,450,000 by my brother from Kogi State, Big Sammie from BBNaija Season 6.”

He further explained that Sammie had assured him of a refund if the deal fell through, but after the audition list was unveiled, the reality star became unreachable.

“What hurts me the most is the fact that I was not defrauded by a random person but by somebody I trusted so much and considered as my brother. I took a loan of ₦1 million to pay ₦1.5 million. Do you know that at the end of the day, I had to sell my car to pay the loan?”

At the time of reporting, Sammie has not publicly addressed the allegations. Efforts to reach him for comment have also been unsuccessful, as he has yet to respond to inquiries from journalists.

The situation has sparked outrage online, with many demanding accountability and urging Sammie to either refund the money or provide clarity on the matter.
