Popular Actor Nonso Diobi Reveals Why He’s Single At 48

Nollywood actor Nonso Diobi has opened up about why he remains unmarried despite his age and celebrity status. In a recent interview, the veteran actor confessed that his long career in the spotlight has deeply affected his perspective on love and relationships.

Diobi admitted that he struggles to live like an ordinary person, as fame has blurred the lines between his on-screen persona and his real-life identity. This, he revealed, has made it difficult for him to maintain genuine romantic relationships that could lead to marriage.

“I grew up on TV and don’t know what it means to be a regular guy. I’ve tried to build relationships that would lead to marriage, but there was something I was doing wrong. I was seeing them through a script,” Diobi said.

Known for his captivating roles in countless Nollywood films, the actor explained that he often found it hard to separate scripted romance from real-life affection. His inability to distinguish between the two ultimately hindered his chances of settling down.

Fans have long wondered about Diobi’s relationship status, especially as many of his colleagues have embraced marriage.

This isn’t the first time Diobi has made headlines for personal reasons. After a six-year hiatus from the industry, he made a surprising comeback, proving that his legacy in Nollywood remains unshaken.
