Barcelona Forced to Rule out €150m-Rated Player

One of FC Barcelona’s priorities in the forth coming summer is to shore up the ranks in the offensive unit, as the Catalan club gear up for the new season.

After evaluating the entire team squad, it is said that FC Barcelona are particularly looking for someone who can potentially take over the reins from Robert Lewandowski in the years to come, with Alexander Isak emerging as one of the top targets.

The La Liga champions have identified Newcastle forward Alexander Isak as a dream target, as they see him as an ideal long-term replacement for Isak.

Despite few speculations, a recent report from MARCA, has clarified that Barcelona are unlikely to make a move for Isak in the coming summer.

The reason being that FC Barcelona are not in a position to afford the Swedish international, who in the transfer market is valued at around €100 million.

The report also claimed that the English premier League outlet, Newcastle United could be asking for a figure close to €150 million for the services of the star striker.

Alexander Isak’s hefty price tag placed by the club is hardly surprising as the player has been one of the most consistent strikers in the Premier League since joining the Magpies.

Statistics shows that in Isak’s last 100 competitive matches for Newcastle, he has racked up as many as 62 goals and 11 assists, making him one of the most productive players in England.

Based on his tremendous performance in two consecutive seasons it is unarguably that the player is likely to cost a fortune, so on this note, FC Barcelona are expected to shift their attention to other alternatives.

The La Liga heavyweight club have been reportedly interested in signing Liverpool star Luis Diaz recently, who can operate not only as a number nine but also as a wide attacker, making him an ideal alternative to the Barcelona front three.
