Stakeholders Visit Rivers NYSC Camp, Assure Commitment to Corps Members’ Welfare

During their visit to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Rivers State, Permanent Orientation Camp in Nonwa-Gbam Tai, critical stakeholders pledged continued commitment towards top-notch welfare of Corps members.

One of the stakeholders, the Garrison Commander, 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Brig. Gen S. Ahmed highly commended the neatness of the camp environment and praised the corps for the high level of discipline. He used the opportunity to assure the coordinator that the 6 Division Garrison, going forward, will support orientation exercises with diesel and camp maintenance.

Responding, the State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe thanked the Garrison Commander immensely for the visit despite his very busy schedule. He informed him that at the heart of his administration, now is the building of a new camp clinic and solicited his support when the time comes.

Similarly, the Administrator of Ogu/Bolo LGA represented by Comrade Emmanuel Hezekiah, today gifted corps members and camp officials food items, including 2 bags of rice, 3 bags of garri, 18 cartons of Indomie noodles, 3 cartons of groundnut oil, 3 cartons of fish and 3 cartons of chicken.

Hezekiah informed Oleghe that the gesture was a token of love of the Administrator for corpers, assuring that it would get better. Responding, the State Coordinator appreciated the administrator and the people of Ogu/Bolo LGA for their support in the success of the camping exercise.
