Angela Okorie Accuses Boyfriend of Infidelity and Exploitation

Popular Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie, has publicly announced the termination of her relationship with her boyfriend, identified as Oil Money, citing allegations of infidelity and exploitation. The accusations were made in a series of posts shared on the actress’s official Instagram story on Wednesday, April 17, 2025, which have since garnered significant attention across social media platforms.

In her posts Angela Okorie described her former partner as “efulefu” (a derogatory term implying worthlessness) and “very gullible.” She explicitly accused him of engaging in relationships with several of her female colleagues within the Nollywood film industry.

Expressing her emotional distress and disillusionment, Ms. Okorie stated her intention to refrain from publicly displaying future romantic partners online. She alleged that her former boyfriend was using their relationship to gain access and proximity to other influential women for his personal gain.

In direct quotes attributed to her Instagram posts and reported by Ms. Okorie stated: “Make una warn that mad man to stop posting my picture na. I blocked Casanova for a long time. I don leave am for Nollywood girls and more. Until I marry, you all will never see or even know what my man looks like again. Make una carry am, e fits you, not Legit Queen.”

Further accusations included claims that her former boyfriend’s behavior changed after experiencing increased public recognition. Ms. Okorie reportedly stated: “He saw real fame come dey jump up and down.

I have removed his pics from my page, when I found out he is using me to get relevance and women. He even told me the day I caught his chat with a Nollywood girl that he would make sure he sleeps with all those rich women in Lagos and Nollywood. I was like, who does that?”

Ms. Okorie also characterized her former partner as someone who presents a false image, stating: “He is not who he claims to be. Noise of empty self, bags and cheap foods in restaurants. A damaged man.”

As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement or response from the individual identified as Oil Money regarding these allegations. The public accusations made by Ms. Okorie have generated considerable discussion within the entertainment industry and among her followers.
