A 42-year-old rig worker, Kolowale, has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command, for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old female housemaid at Ejekwu street, Eneka in Obio/Akpor Local Government area.
The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers Police Command, SP Grace-Iringe Koko confirmed the development to our Correspondent, noting that the suspect is been detained and investigation is ongoing.
Our Correspondent gathered that the suspect was arrested by the Human1 Rights Desk of the Rivers State Police Command headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, following a complaint by concerned neighbors whom the teenage girl ran to after her alleged defilement by the suspect.
It was gathered that some women in the neighborhood had examined the private part of the teenage girl to ascertain the veracity of her claim and were shocked to observe the level of damage done to the minor’s female organ.
The neighbors quickly alerted the Police of the incident. We also learned that the result of the medical examination conducted on the teenage girl showed her private part was penetrated.
