Labour Party State Collation Agent for Rivers State, Pepple Dienye has accused the state government and INEC Electoral Officers (EO) of manipulating the presidential results of the Labour Party in the state.

In an interview with our correspondent at the INEC State Collation Center Port Harcourt, Dienye lamented that the results being announced at the state collation center will not be accepted by the party as it has been greatly manipulated.

According to him, the result figures gotten from the polling units do not correspond with the result figures being collated at the INEC Collation Center, stressing that some LGA’s polling units such as Oyigbo, the APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu got just two (2) votes and some polling unit he did not get a vote at all.

The Labour Party State Collation Agent claimed that at about 5:25 pm on Saturday 25 February 2023, while the election was still ongoing, about eighty (80) percent of the BVAS machines’ password was automatically changed making it impossible for INEC Presiding officers (PO) at the various polling units to access the BVAS machine.

He further accused the Rivers State government of using thugs and security agencies to cart away electoral materials where the original results gotten from the polling units were manipulated.

Dienye insisted that Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi won massively in Rivers State, noting that the party will resist the results collated.
