VLADIMIR PUTIN’S WAR OF AGGRESSION—– A RECALL OF THE NIGERIAN WAR OF GENOCIDE ARMED BY THE THEN USSR AND BRITAIN AGAINST BIAFRANS
The Biafra De Facto Customary Government led by Alhaji Dokubo Asari note with concern the devastating, humanitarian crisis in Ukraine in which so many nationals of different countries are stranded including Biafrans. Biafrans in the neighbouring countries are appealed to accommodate their kit and kin fleeing the conflict in Ukraine. We urge all sides in the conflict to exercise constraints in order to enable humanitarian assistance to reach the vulnerable civilian populations .
The Biafra De Facto Customary Government insists that international humanitarian law that applies in situations of armed conflict must be observed and applied to the non-combatants, humanitarian aid workers, and prisoners of war.
Biafra De Facto Customary Government urges peace in Ukraine; and in solidarity with the stranded Biafrans and other entrapped vulnerable civilian populations , call on the humanitarian agencies and human rights community to close ranks and speak with one voice against this impending, avoidable, horrible human tragedy.
We urge the United Nations Security Council to urgently live up to her responsibility to mediate, de-escalate, and bring both parties to the negotiation table.
On the domestic scene, we urge the Nigerian state to stop their campaign of horror and human rights violations against Biafra and her innocent, vulnerable people. We,however, urge all genuine Biafrans to join hands and unite against criminality and killings in the name of Biafra.
We would always choose/peace over war (the last undesirable option); and are desirous and keen to deliver a human rights compliant Biafra that would be nothing short of the beacon of hope for Africa.
