Ugochukwu Iwuchukwu

Rivers United came from a goal behind to deservedly win a dramatic Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL Matchday 32 tie against Warri Wolves at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.

The Pride of Rivers had to dig deep after Emmanuel Ihezuo gave the visitors the early lead before Godwin Aguda levelled up before the break and was at the right spot to score the winner from close range.

There were some late nervy moments but the Stanley Eguma tutored side held on for a well-deserved confidence-boosting win.

Rivers United move up to 3rd place with 55 points from 32 matches.

Rivers United will now turn their attention to the Aiteo Cup where they will face Heartland FC in the 3rd round of the competition on Wednesday at the Enyimba stadium Aba.
