An aviation contractor, Iki Ikoko has narrated how flight ban not just frustrated him but also forced him to change business.

The contractor who was doing well in the aviation sector some time ago insisted that flight ban and other policies of government plunged him into penury.

Surprised by our correspondent to sight the aviation expert doing real estate jobs in Port Harcourt, Ikoko said, “my brother you will not understand how frustrated I was before I left the aviation industry.

“I was broke and despair to the point I decided to abandon the aviation industry for another means of livelihood.

“Flight ban really affected my economic survival in the aviation sector. Through out the peak of the Covid-19 lockdown, my job with the aviation was grounded.

“Not only me anyway, a lot of my colleagues were affected and most of them abandoned the aviation too and went into different greener pastures.”

You recalled that in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced countries across the globe to close their air borders as measures to prevent the spread of the disease.

The development was characterized by mass sacking of aviation workers as well as hike in flight fare among others.
