Wife stabs husband to death in Rivers

A former supervisory councillor for youths and sports of Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers state, Skin Kinikanwo Amadi has been stabbed to death by his wife.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night at their home in Nkpolu-Rumuigbo.

Sources told theportcitynews that the couple has been having disagreement for months bordering on infidelity, adding that he was in the habit of battering his wife each time she called him to order.

It was gathered that the deceased wife identified as Ihuoma had called his (deceased) brother around 10pm over the fight that had broken out between them but the brother told her that he could not make it as it was already late.

A family source said that around 11 pm, the brother of the deceased was informed at his home that the deceased was seriously bleeding but when the brother got there, the deceased was already taken to the hospital.

The source said that when they asked the deceased wife what happened, she said that the late husband broke beer bottle and while they were trying to retrieve it from him the bottle touched him and he died.

Mr. Clinton Amadi, a brother to the deceased said the incident was shocking.

He said: I was called that my brother has been stabbed. Before I got there he was already in coma.

“He is dead and in the mortuary. He has been having problem with his wife for awhile now”
