The Nigeria Port Authority NPA says they are fully committed to implementing the African Continental Free Trade Zone Area AFCTZA and Sustainable Development Goals SDG.
The Port Manager Nigeria Port Authority, Onne Port, Alhassan Abubakar said this while receiving a youth group, the Youth Initiative for Empowerment and Welfare Creation in his office.
Alhassan Abubakar represented by the Principal Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communication Barbara Ejemeh said the Port Manager is willingly to support youth development programs in line with their Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Executive Director of Youth Initiative for Empowerment and Welfare Creation Abiye George said the partnership with the Port Authority would help reduce unemployment in the Niger Delta region.

He commended the group for the initiative and desire to impact society and warned that the group must lift others for them to rise.
The Port Manager also asked the group to partner other community youth-based groups as the Port Manager is ever willingly to support youth empowerment in the region.
In his comment, the Ports Traffic Manager, Prince Zhattau advised the group to deepen partnership with stakeholders for maximum exploration of gas for local utilization owing to the large gas opportunities.
He advised the youth group to unite other youth bodies if they must succeed in their quest for economic harmony.
The Executive Director of Youth Initiative for Empowerment and Welfare Creation Abiye George during the advocacy visit to the Nigeria Port Authority called for the partnership between the youth group and the Ports Authority.
Abiye George said such partnership would bring sanity to Port activities thereby increasing revenues, reducing anti-social vices and providing a meaningful livelihood for the youths.
