David West appears in court with ‘5 nights of glory’ tag

Hearing on the murder case of the suspected serial killer, Gracious David West, has been stalled at the Rivers State high court sitting in Port Harcourt, due to the absence of David West’s Counsel in court.

This is West appeared in court with a ‘5 nights of glory’ tag, an annual event of salvation ministry, sending tongues waging in court on Friday.

Vincent Chuku who is Counsel to the 1st Defendant, Gracious David West, did not show up in court to continue with cross-examination of Prosecution witnesses.

Child Ekeh, State Prosecution Counsel and Lezina Amegwa, Counsel to the 2nd Defendant, Nimi ThankGod, told the court that they tried reaching David West’s Counsel but all their effort proved abortive.

The trial Judge, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, told the court that Vincent Chuku, Counsel to Gracious David West, cannot withdraw from the suit on his own.

The Judge thereby gave an order that hearing notice should be served on Vincent Chuku before the next adjourned date.

Our correspondent, Tina Amanda, gathered that Justice Adolphus Enebeli adjourned the matter to 24th January.
