OPM opens rehabilitation center for repented cultists, armed robbers

The General Overseer of one of the Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, on Monday, commissioned a rehabilitation centre for repented cultists and militants which are known now as the SONS OF DOCTOR JESUS.

The rehabilitation centre which is located at Aluu was built in a serene environment.

The Free Estate made up of 75 flats also serves as a free skill acquisition centre, giving the repented militants and cultist an opportunity to acquire free skills.

They would learn skills that include computer repairs, computer training, instrumentation and installation, hairdressing, tailoring, baking and toiletries.

Facilities in the estate include standby Soundproof generator, Constant water and a restaurant for free feeding.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Apostle Chinyere said his goal in life is not to build the biggest house or drive the best of cars but to see that souls make it to heaven and shattered and battered souls are given a helping hand.

He said that his target on earth is to make sure that two billion souls make heaven.

He noted that such ambition is the reason he is doing everything possible to make his vision of two billion souls to heaven a possibility and a reality including rescuing criminals and helping them get a second chance.

Apostle Chinyere said that there are more churches than schools yet nothing has been done for the poor people in the society by the church.

He advised every pastor to make it a point of duty to open free schools for the less privileged children and lend a helping hand to the needy.

According to him, “church money is for Gods people and not for the pastor’s wasteful lifestyle. If every pastor makes an effort to use some part of the tithes and offerings coming into the church to open a free foundation, crime would be curbed and poverty will be reduced to the barest minimum.

He stated that the best investment anyone can make is a human capital investment, adding that it would be his utmost joy to see crime fought to a standstill so that everyone sleeps with their heart at rest and with their both eyes closed.

The rehabilitated boys are to be put under close watch with all spiritual and physical support needed so that the rehabilitation process would be a huge success.
