MOSOP announces activities for Ken Saro-Wiwa’s remembrance day

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has announced the programme of activities for the 2019 Ken Saro-Wiwa’s memorial/Ogoni martyrs day, November 10, 2019.

MOSOP, in a statement jointly signed by its factional president, Fegalo Nsuke and the assistant secretary, Comrade Alex Akori, said the programme will commence on November 7, 2019 with tree planting in all Ogoni villages.

The programme which was approved by a Steering Committee in a meeting held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the organization’s headquarters, the Peace and Freedom Center, Bori, Ogoniland, outlined the details as follows:

Day 1: November 7, 2019:: Tree planting throughout Ogoni to be coordinated by MOSOP chapter leaders.

Day 2: November 8, 2019: Film show

Venue: Peace and Freedom Center, Bori

Time 12 noon

Day3: Candlelight vigil

venue: 24 Aggrey Road, Port Harcourt

Time: 7pm till dawn

Day 4 Interdenominational Church Service

Venue: Wesley Methodist Cathedral, Bori

Time 10am

MOSOP urged every Ogoni to fully participate in these events.
