The quarter-final of the first Rivers State Keves Football Championship 2019 will commence today.
In the first game of today, Benedi FC will play Rocks FC by 1pm while Mat J FC will lock horns against Glodex fc by 3pm.
In tomorrow’s fixtures Ambassadors FC will entertain FC Ogoni by1pm as Ororo FC will do battle with Neilladan FC by 3pm.
All matches will be played at the Sharks Stadium Port Harcourt.
The first Rivers State Keves Football Championship is an initiative of the Rivers State Football Association aimed at developing football at the grassroots.
The Vice-Chairman of the Rivers State Football Association Ominiakuma Kile in an interview with our correspondent said they are partnering with the private sector to unearth new talents.
He said that many talents abound across the state and believe that such partnerships will expose the players to the limelight.
Ominiakuma Kile noted that players like Kingsley Sokari were discovered in such competitions and also commended Keves Global Leasing Company for bankrolling the competition.
