The Ogoni Youth Federation on Monday led the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA to an on-the-spot assessment to ascertain the level of damages incurred via the deep crisis in Ogoni.

NEMA was led by its South-South Zonal Coordinator Mr Walson Brandon. The exercise was carried out in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, to the various IDP camps in Bori and the multiple communities affected by the crisis.

Responding to journalists, the NEMA South-South Zonal Boss Walson Brandon assured the victims that the report would be sent to the headquarters for immediate intervention. He, however, noted that no stakeholder in Ogoni had drawn their attention to the menace.

He thanked the Ogoni Youth Federation for bringing the situation to their notice.

In response, the OYF President General Legborsi Yamaabana frowned at the ugly incident and urged NEMA to ensure the relief materials are provided within a reasonable period.
