Brave Dickson

The newly deployed Divisional Police Officer of the Nigerian Railway Station, Port Harcourt, SP Richard Omari has given remnant criminals in the railway community ultimatum to flee the area now or face being dealt with by his crime beating techniques.

The new DPO disclosed this at a parley with the executive members of the Police Community Relations Committee of the Division in his office.

SP Omari who commended his predecessor, CSP Mike Ochuku for containing crime and criminality to the barest minimum in the area, promised to flush out the remnants.

“A lot of people have told me how the outgoing DPO CSP Ochuku drastically reduced crime in the area. I am happy for that because it has made my work a little bit easier since our primary duty is to protect lives and property. I will consolidate on it and ensure that the remnants equally flee the area.

I will combine both my predecessor’s crime fighting techniques as well as introducing new methods in order to leave no stone on turn, “SP Omari said.

He also reiterated his resolve to always synergize with PCRC and other relevant stakeholders in the area to achieve a safe and secured environment for all.

On his part, the outgoing DPO, CSP Ochuku who has now been posted to Lagos State enjoined the community to give maximum cooperation to the new DPO.

He said, “the members of the community should see the issue of security as their own duty as well as collaborate with the police under the watch of the new DPO especially in the area of intelligence gathering.”

Also, while welcoming the new DPO on behalf of the PCRC, the Chairman of the Division, Chief Aloysius Wakama assured the new DPO of PCRC’s full support, adding that cooperation with the police leadership of the Division has always been the tradition of PCRC.

“I guaranty you of our full support to your security goal for our community. We have never failed in supporting the police of our Division, Wakama noted.
