Wike leads in 19 LGAs as INEC is set to announce final result

The governorship candidate for the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Governor Nyesom Wike has won additional 2 Local Government Areas making a total of 19 local government areas comfortably secured under his belt.

KHANA LGA:

ACCORD – 1195
AAC – 1493
PDP – 104,089
SDP – 1235
Registered voters – 167,958
Total valid votes – 111,363
Rejected vote – 1810
Total vote cast – 113,173

No election was conducted in three wards namely: ward 1, ward 2 and ward 4, with a total of 45 polling units affected.

AHOADA WEST LGA:

ACCORD – 270
AAC – 10,186
PDP- 18,572
SDP – 90
Registered voters – 46,083
Total valid vote – 29,474
rejected votes – 519
Total vote cast – 29,993

Election didn’t hold in Igbuduya ward 2 due to violence in the area, with a total of 49 polling units affected which cut across other wards.

Our correspondent reports that the Collation Officer for Abua/Odua local government area, Dr Ferry Nwafor, told the State Collation Officer, Professor Teddy Adias, that election didn’t hold in Abua due to high level of security challenge, adding that the electoral materials never left the RAC to any ward or polling unit.

Also, the Collation Officer for Gokana local government area, Baranor Goddy Christian, stated before the State Collation Officer that serious electoral crisis emanated at the point of collation, stressing that no results where collated from Gokana.
