Emohua community members urged to return after a decade of killings

Ibaa Community members in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State who fled their homes ten years ago as a result of cult related violence in the community have been called upon to return home.

Leader of Ibaa Peoples’ Volunteers Force, CHINANU ELEONU alias NAKED WIRE who made the call urged the people of Ibaa to come back home and celebrate the three days cultural dance called AMARA which started today so as to not allow their culture go extinct.

ELEONU stressed that relative peace have returned to Ibaa, while appealing to all cult members in the area to shun cultism, violence, repent and embrace peace for Ibaa to enjoy the communal harmony that have long existed amongst the people.

He further urged the people to return and partake in the new farming season which has set in, adding that Ibaa remains Rivers state food basket.

“It will interest you to know that Ibaa community have been the worst hit by cult violence with several youths and elderly killed in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.

“I am calling on the council of Ibaa chiefs, community development chairman, youths, women to return so we build a lasting peace in our communitt‘’
