Golden Tulip Hotel Review

Golden Tulip is a first class international 4 star hotel situated in the Government Residential Area of Port Harcourt,Rivers state.

The hotel was built using international standard which gives foreigners and tourists a sense of belonging when they lodge there. It is also a 30-minute-drive from the International Airport at Omagwa. It has attractions close to it such as the Genesis Deluxe Cinema and Jevinik restaurant. There are also clubs close by such as Blinkx Lounge,Cubana Lounge,Playhouse Lounge,The Boss Lounge and so many others.

SECURITY
The hotel has uniformed security men who stand outside the main entrance to check people’s belongings before they are allowed to go in. There are also security men inside the hotel standing at strategic positions.

RECEPTION/CUSTOMER SERVICE

The staff and management of the hotel are professional and well trained on how to relate with both clients and visitors. From the security men to the receptionists, there is always a warm welcome and a smile for anyone that comes into the building. There is also a good rapport between the clients and the staff with the staff always willing to please. The staff also dress neatly in corporate attires to attend to their customers.

BASIC AMENITIES
The hotel has functional air-conditioning facilities in all corners of the building which makes it serene and cool. the marble on the floor sparkle from thorough cleaning and the sweet smelling air freshener makes it a pure bliss to breath in deeply. the staff also work round the clock in shifts.

The hotel also has a gym area, spa area, hair saloon for both men and women and a dry cleaning service for the clients. These make it easy for their clients to pamper their bodies without going far to achieve it.

The swimming pool is a blue sparkling water which is currently restricted as there are ongoing construction in a bid to expand it.

The hotel also have a car park which is too small compared to its 103 rooms.

It also has an inn and a bar area where clients go for local and intercontinental dishes professionally prepared by top chefs and also cheap and expensive drinks for those that want to chill at the bar.
Also, it is decorated with beautiful art works on the walls which gives it an African look.


It also has two conference halls for business meetings. The rooms are top notch and prices differ based on room selected. There is the standard room which goes for N57,495,the Superior room goes for N67,089, the Deluxe room goes for N83,516 and the Executive suites goes for N110,352 and all the prices include a free breakfast. There is also a working elevator from the ground floor to the top floor and also DSTV connected channels where there is no restrictions to what a client may want to watch.
In conclusion,it is a good hotel for those that can afford it because it will be too expensive for a low income earner.
