Rivers state gets new REC

A new Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner has resumed in Rivers state.

He is Obo Efanga from Cross River State who was appointed REC in July, 2017.
Efanga until his deployment to Rivers state last served as the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Edo State.

He takes over from Aniedi Ikoiwak who retired from service last year.

Reports has it that on arrival, the new REC, Obo Efanga met with all staff of the Commission at the INEC Secretariat along Aba road, Port Harcourt.

The REC is also expected to embark on a familiarization visit to the Governor, security agencies and all relevant stakeholders in the State.
