Fubara: We’re Rebuilding Education Infrastructure for Rivers People

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to revamping education infrastructure across the state. During a recent visit to Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic in Rumuola, Port Harcourt, Fubara highlighted ongoing projects, including an Entrepreneurship Centre, a new staff office, and a Senate Building, which are key to his education reform agenda.

Emphasizing the importance of practical education, Fubara noted that the Entrepreneurship Centre is strategically designed to develop students’ skills for productive careers. “We promised the people of Rivers State that our focus wouldn’t be solely on roads but would also prioritize the education sector,” he said.

The governor revealed that his administration had engaged with the Polytechnic’s Governing Council to understand the school’s essential needs, including accommodations, office blocks, and the long-stalled Senate Building. “We have already released 50 percent of the funds needed to complete these projects and begin other initiatives,” he added, reaffirming his commitment to enhancing educational facilities for Rivers students and educators.
