The General Officer Commanding GOC, the Six Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah, wants troops to take regimentation at parade grounds seriously to enhance their proficiency and professional competencies. The GOC, the Special Guest of Honour, stated this while opening a four-day Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Inter Brigade Competition at the Elele Barracks.
Major General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah who doubles as the Land Component Commander of the Joint Task Force, Operation Delta Safe, described Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers as Critical stakeholders in the Nigerian Army, serving as links between senior officers and the junior ranks.

Represented by the Commander, 16 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General, Oluremi Obolo who is the Chief host, he said they reflect true leadership in the field, the bush, and across all theaters of operations, enforce discipline, train men as well as maintain and carry the tradition and pride of the Nigerian Army with dignity.
While urging them to use the Inter Brigade Contest to build bonds of friendship that will last for a lifetime, he stressed that the 4-day competition was a channel for them to keep abreast of the rudiments of military activities that shape and mold all soldiers.
The GOC, 6 Division urged the participants to give their best and compete fairly, while commending the organizing committee for putting up a successful event.
The Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Inter Brigade Competition of the Nigerian Army features drills, parades, weapon exercises, map reading, and swimming, among others.
