Fubara, Rivers NUJ Extol Bonny Monarch At 60th Birthday

As he marks his 60th birthday, the suspended governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, renowned traditional rulers, and stakeholders arrived on Bonny Island. To celebrate the Amanyanabo of Grand Bonny, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple, Perekule XI, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

Also, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Rivers State council, has eulogised the Monarch. Stating that his well thought out leadership strategies resonated with the Kingdom and that the results were very eloquent and visible.

On behalf of the union, the NUJ chairman, Mr Paul Bazia-Nsaneh and secretary, Ijeoma Tubosia, congratulated the King. Noting that his vision for the transformation of Bonny kingdom has brought an enduring peace, and general development.

According to them, “at 60, Bonny Kingdom has more than enough reasons to celebrate you. Your selfless services since your ascension to the Ancient throne of your forebears have been that of progress and a success story. As you have ruled the Kingdom with love and peace.

“As you mark this 60th birthday, may your throne be adorned with the finest silk, your crown with the most precious jewels, and your sceptre with the purest gold.

“Happy birthday to the king who commands respect with a mere glance and inspires devotion with a single word. May your reign be marked by grandeur and majesty.

“Congratulations, your Majesty, and may you continue to live long.”
