2025 U-20 W/C: Flying Eagles Drawn with Colombia, Saudi, Norway

The highly anticipated draw for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup has concluded, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling youth football spectacle in Chile later next year. For Nigerian football fans, the focus immediately shifted to Group F, where our very own Flying Eagles will battle for supremacy.

The Flying Eagles have been drawn into a competitive Group F, alongside Colombia, Saudi Arabia, and Norway. This quartet guarantees an interesting mix of footballing philosophies, with the South Americans known for their flair, the Saudis for their tactical discipline, and the Norwegians for their physical prowess. It’s a group that will certainly test the mettle of our young Nigerian contingent.

The tournament proper is scheduled to run from September 27 to October 19, 2025, across various venues in Chile. This will be a crucial platform for the next generation of Nigerian football stars to showcase their talents on the global stage. “We respect every opponent, and this draw simply reinforces that every match at this level will be a battle,” a representative from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said shortly after the draw.

“Our technical crew will now thoroughly analyze these teams, and we will prepare our boys to the best of our abilities. The goal, as always, is to go as far as possible and make Nigerians proud”. Hosts Chile find themselves in Group A alongside New Zealand, Japan, and Egypt, Group B features Korea Republic, Ukraine, Paraguay, and Panama.

Football powerhouses Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, and Spain will slug it out in Group C, Group D is composed of Italy, Australia, Cuba, and Argentina, while Group E sees the USA, New Caledonia, France, and South Africa.
