Rivers State School Secures Third Place in Manfon Ejim-Emekah Inter-Command Competition

The Manfon Ejim-Emekah Inter-Command Secondary School Quiz, Debate, and Essay Writing Competition has ended, with Akwa Ibom School emerging as the overall winner.

According to the results announced by the panel of judges, Akwa Ibom School secured first place with 500 points. Delta State School came second with 400 points, while Rivers State School took third place with 325 points. Bayelsa State School finished in fourth place with 275 points.

The host of the competition and wife of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Mrs. Manfon Ejim-Emekah, commended the contestants for their outstanding performance. She explained that the competition provided a platform for students to develop critical thinking, articulate their ideas confidently, and engage in intellectual discourse on matters crucial for national development.

Mrs. Ejim-Emekah emphasized the need to lay a solid foundation for a future where informed, visionary, and responsible leaders will emerge to drive positive change in the nation.

In his remarks, the GOC 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Emmanuel Emekah, represented by Brigadier General Effiong Nse, congratulated the overall winners for displaying a high level of intellectual capacity in the keenly contested competition. He encouraged students to always strive for excellence in their future endeavors.

The winners, who were visibly overjoyed, attributed their success to God and hard work. They will be awarded scholarships for higher education in any Nigerian public university of their choice.
