Etche Law Students Association Awards Rivers Chieftain

The Etche Law Students Association of Nigeria, Rivers State University Chapter, has honored His Royal Highness  Eze, Dr. Ken Nwala, The Ugo 1 of Etche and Onye Ishi Agwuru Ulakwo/Umuselem clan, with an Award of Excellence. This prestigious recognition is a testament to Dr. Nwala’s unwavering support for Etche students and his remarkable contributions to the development of Etche.

The event which took place on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at his palace serves as a fitting tribute to Dr. Nwala’s tireless efforts to promote the welfare and advancement of Etche students. His commitment to education and community development has undoubtedly made a lasting impact on the region.

As the Etche Law Students Association of Nigeria, Rivers State University Chapter, acknowledges Dr. Nwala’s achievements, it also underscores the importance of community leaders and stakeholders working together to foster growth and progress. His Royal Highness Eze, Dr. Ken Nwala, the revered Ugo 1 of Etche Land, warmly welcomed the student body with open arms and infectious enthusiasm. As the students gathered before the Native court, Dr. Nwala seized the opportunity to emphasize the significance of preserving their cultural heritage. He encouraged the students to address the court in their native Etche dialect, highlighting the importance of learning and speaking their mother tongue to ensure the longevity of their rich cultural traditions.

Following the inspiring address by the Ugo 1 of Etche, Dr. Ken Nwala, the President of the Etche Law Students Association, Opurum Anayo, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed Chieftain. He assured Dr. Nwala that the student body would diligently heed his wise counsel and incorporate his guidance into their actions.

Opurum Anayo then presented several requests to Dr. Nwala, seeking his support and assistance. The Chieftain, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the students’ well-being and success, pledged his backing and promised to use his influence to ensure that the requests were granted.
